For those of you who know me, you would have noticed multiple mentions of Lotus Wei on my Instagram account, and thus it is no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Katie (founder of Lotus Wei), and her amazing line of flower remedies. In fact, the reason why this blog exists is partly due to the transformational healing that Lotus Wei has had on me.
I thought long and hard about how I wanted to write this post because frankly if I had it my way, this will extend into a reeaallllly long essay. Why? 2 reasons:
- I have tried everything from Lotus Wei (save for a few of the limited edition and collaboration items), from the elixirs to the anointing oils.
- I can go on for days talking about Lotus Wei you might begin to question if I work for them. No, I promise it is just plain unadulterated love.
With that in mind, I will try my best to keep this as succinct as possible.
So, what exactly is Flower Alchemy?
According to Katie..
Flower alchemy is simply another way of receiving the nourishing properties of plants — but instead of taking in oxygen, you’re taking in pure flower essences, suspended in water— liquid energy that transforms your mood + your mind through your acupuncture meridians.
Flower alchemy is based on the premise that your body operates like a finely-tuned instrument. Sometimes, it rings with perfect pitch — everything in perfect alignment. Sometimes, it needs a little re-tuning.
Flower essences act as a natural tuning fork — bringing your body back in tune with a subtle electrical vibration.
And the best part is: you can choose your desired vibration. Maybe today it’s love, curiosity, or compassion. Maybe tomorrow it’s trust, focus, intimacy — or all of the above!
Sounds magical doesn’t it? Now I haven’t personally met Katie, but I have interacted with her through social media (Instagram & Periscope) and she is one of the most beautiful souls I have ever had the pleasure of ‘meeting’. Whatever inner peace and light that she radiates, I wanted it too! I needed some Lotus Wei in my life.
I began taking Lotus Wei flower remedies in August and started my journey with Inner Peace, Pure Energy (now called Radiant Energy), and Joy Juice. I took the Inner Peace flower elixir religiously every day; 5 drops under my tongue, 5 times a day. Within a few days I noticed a difference.
As the name suggests, Inner Peace is said to “help calm and balance your energy, and be at peace with everything”, and that was exactly what I experienced. It was a regular work day and I was heading to the Korean restaurant that I frequently patronize. Instead of getting seated like I usually do, the owner turned me away! I was lunching alone that day and because it was peak hour, the owner (being business minded) wanted to save the table for 2 paying customers. Oh the horror! Did I mention I didn’t have breakfast that particular morning and was starving?
Now I remember this moment vividly because instead of turning into a hangry (read: hungry + angry) raging ogre and thinking very unpleasant thoughts, I walked out the door with no hesitation, happily thought to myself “hmm…. what else can I have for lunch?”, and went along my merry way with a skip in my step. I reacted so uncharacteristically calmly (and joyful) that it made me mildly concerned. I knew it was definitely the flower remedies subtly working its magic.
What is my favorite Lotus Wei flower remedy?
Oh.. that is like asking a mother to pick her favorite child. I can’t play favorites with Lotus Wei either. I love each one for different reasons, and intuitively pick whatever I need for the day/moment. Our bodies are more intuitive than we realize and the more we practice listening to that inner voice, the better we become recognizing the signs.
For instance, on days that I need a little perking up, I intuitively spray on some Joy Juice and the results are instantaneous. It is such a sweet-happy scent, kind of like strawberry jam, and invokes within me feelings of joy, light heartedness and contentment. I call it my happy juice!
I have also found myself reaching for the Quiet Mind energy spray more frequently of late. It smells fresh, sweet and green from a combination of the Geranium, Coriander, Clove, Mandarin Peel and Lemon Peel essential oils, which together with the flower essences help to quiet and relax my mind. I have also been massaging the serum into the back of my neck, shoulders, ears and the soles of my feet as part of my bed time self-care routine – a real treat which eases me into deep peaceful slumber.
Quiet Mind also contains gem essence of Kyanite (shown in the photo above) which helps to align the chakras and subtle bodies, bringing tranquility and a calming effect to the whole being. It is known to be an exceptional stone for transitioning into deep meditative states.
What I love most about Lotus Wei’s flower remedies is the subtle vibrational shift it has created in me without having to knowingly ‘do’ anything. It has not only transformed my way of thinking and doing things, but has also created a ripple effect which benefits the people around me. For change to happen it has to first start from within, and I am thankful for discovering these amazing flower remedies for this journey.
Have you tried flower remedies before? Are you a fan of Lotus Wei too? What has your experience been like?
