Sundays are for savoring

Laundry, chores, groceries, errands, Christmas shopping, evening dress hunting for a friend’s wedding, unfinished projects begging for my attention – There is always something on my to-do list that needs attending.

My Sunday’s are usually spent crossing off some of these items and planning for the week ahead. Ok, and maybe the occasional moping around like Sadness (from Inside Out – Please watch it if you haven’t already. It’s so so good!), having a pity party over how the weekend got robbed from me.

However, there are also moments where I feel it necessary to do absolutely NOTHING. Yup! Indulging in a guilt free day of sheer nothingness is so liberating for the soul. There is nothing wrong with slowing down and forgetting about that to-do list, kicking your feet up with a nice warm beverage (or a really stiff drink, whichever you fancy) and savoring the precious moment of the present. It is my body’s way of telling me to take a break and slow down – to just BE.

Life should be savored. And that’s exactly what I’m doing.
